McKenna Lundgard’s journey into the world of gymnastics began as a child in her mother’s gym in Kentucky, where she absorbed the fundamentals of the sport. Her deep-seated passion for gymnastics carried her through years of cheering, including four years at Eastern Kentucky University. Initially planning a career in law, McKenna shifted gears to embrace her love for coaching and founded Chevy Chase Gymnastics in June 2020. Her vision was clear: to create a recreational gymnastics program focused on skill-building and self-esteem, distinct from competitive gymnastics.

Inspired by the historical charm of the Chevy Chase neighborhood, McKenna renamed the gym to reflect its roots.
